Today, Microsoft released Windows 10 for PCs build 16299.15 to the Release Preview ring of the Insider Program, a ring that’s designated for builds that are slated for public release at some point.

In other words, if there was any doubt in your mind, build 16299.15 is the one that non-Insiders will get when the Fall Creators Update launches in a week.

The update itself was first offered to the Fast ring on October 2 and then was promoted to the Slow ring two days later.

If you’re on the Release Preview ring though, this will be your first taste of the Fall Creators Update, so there are tons of new features in store for you.

For one thing, you’ll find that OneDrive placeholders have returned in the form of OneDrive Files On-Demand. There are new Unicode 10 emojis, and a bunch of improvements to the ways that you can select emojis.

That also comes with a number of improvements to the onscreen keyboard.

If you’re a fan of the ability to read ebooks in the Edge browser – which launched with the Creators Update – you’ll be happy to find out that those books will finally sync between devices now.

That’s just the very tip of the iceberg though. For a full changelog, Microsoft’s Brandon LeBlanc created a list of new features in the coming update.

Oddly enough, there are still no ISO images available for those that want to do a clean install. Those should be made available soon enough though.
